Comments:

First, I'd like, with heartfelt thanks, to acknowledge all of our veterans - thank you very much for your sacrifices! Our Military is the Greatest!

Living in Economy PA - western PA about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. I love the rural area - had lived in Whitefield NH for 10 years prior to moving to Economy. The North Country of New Hampshire is awesome and I spent many hours hiking, volunteering to stock rivers, enjoying the Aurora Borealis etc etc!

Miss my work as a writer for national business and industry magazines, primarily global logistics security and mechanics, which is a fascinating and very precise industry - um until Biden screwed things up really bad.

I enjoy gardening and reading - now that I am retired I have the time to read once again - thrillers are my favorite as well as non-fiction in just about any category. Had been volunteering in humane societies and libraries - but the CCP virus put an end to that.

School Story:

Outstanding & Dedicated Teachers (A Dying Breed?)

Miss Pennington - Freshman English - encouraged reading and writing - who can forget the weekly writing assignments! I think she was secretly conducting a writers incubator project.

Mr. Robert McIntyre - Sophomore English - very dedicated teacher.

Miss Schwalb - Can't forget her laughter! Loved her Psych and Soc classes -

Mr. Rafter - Latin Teacher - jolly, friendly, dedicated - does anyone remember his exhortations: just study 15 minutes a day and you will ace this course!? What a great life lesson!

Mr. Clark - Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry Teacher - remember his pipe? Does anyone remember Michael Underwood in Freshman Algebra? I really do believe he must've ended up in a think tank - he was talking about imaginary numbers during the first week of our high school experience! From his mannerisms I do believe he had attended very elite private schools - he was only with us for that Freshman year.

Mr. Perlett - Senior English Teacher - anyone remember the photos he posted on the wall that one week - with no explanation - some braver students asked what they were for - but we found out weeks later when he asked us to write about one of the photos! Brilliant!

Mr. Herald - Chemistry & Physics Teacher - great teacher - and kind.

Miss Cotinho (sp?) - Typing Teacher - excellent teacher for typing and business - I learned how to type in her class, which served me well throughout my scholastic years and careers - and community work. She married Mr. Meade - there were 2 Mr Meades - Andre and Ed (thanks to Jerry Wyatt for jogging my memory!), the excellent geography teacher at Central School - he was the older of the two and the one who married Miss Cotinho - remember his famous Cheez-Wiz sandwiches in 7th grade homeroom (when still a bachelor)?

Mr. Stalcup - outstanding counselor!

I probably forgot someone - but these are the ones that come to mind - and I have often thought about them over the years. Great mentors, all!

Dear Jeanne,

I have thought of you often over these last several decades. You were beyond your age in the wisdom of your spirit. You saw something in me I didn't know was there. You brought out my sense of humor, which I held in a secret place. You were instumental in cracking open the protective shell I built around myself. You are SO missed! In your young age it was you who helped me become who I grew to be. I love you, Jeanne, My Friend.

I remember Angela as a kind person. She was a hard-working and serious student. God Bless her and her family.

This is me and Harley, a Belgian Shephard. This picture was taken just a few weeks after I rescued him, about two years ago. He is a great companion.
